Flash drive ftw. That is what I do during school days. Here is all my precautions that I take.
First, leave task manager open, and leave Windows Hide Tool on. Put MapleStory a flash drive. Use DxWnd to open MapleStory, so it is Window Mode. When parents come, you can end the process, DivideMS.exe with your task manager. It is faster, and less laggier than Windows Hide Tool, and most safe way. Or you could use the Windows Hide Tool. It might lag your computer though. So I'd suggest using Task Manager.

i do that too, i also minimize the screen so it is smaller and easier to hide (it is really good to do so if your laptop/computer is slow, like mine =P). [Alt + Enter]

I'm sorry to hear that person-I-don't-really-know. I would have liked a chance to meet you, but I guess your mother has.... some... issues? (No offense intended).
